about

Do you ever miss your friends? Half my life ago, Becky, Trent and I played in a band that spent a good bit of time on the road with a punk band from Chicago IL. called The Lawrence Arms. They had this song called 'Minute' that was just over a minute long and was a nightly favorite of ours. We always wanted to cover it, so in the true spirit of country music where friends cover their friends' songs, the band and I took 'Minute' apart and reconstructed it as a two minute long Americana ballad busting with frustration and despair.
Our old friend Eric Olsen of NoWare Media (who recorded most of your favorite Minneapolis based records from back in the day) lent us his talents and studio for a night. Faith Boblett even stopped on over after the Twins game next door to lay down some vocal harmonies. Thank you to Eric and Faith for everything.
We've been doing this one live, so take a listen or three wherever you stream your music, and come on out and sing along if you're feelin' it. Playing this one makes me feel a little closer to those old friends that I don't get to see much any more. We hope y’all enjoy 'Two Minutes' as much as we enjoyed making it.
